Ruth was born on August 26, 1931 to Eli Dewy Brewer and Annie Alexander Ritter. She was a member of High Falls U.M.C. where she sang in the choir and served in numerous capacities. Ruth had a great love for many things and she gave her whole heart in everything she did. Flowers always bloomed in her garden because all things grow when loved. She applied love to each stitch she sewed and every cake or pie she baked. She was a humble servant of God and her faith never wavered. She dedicated herself to her church and community with a joyful heart. Love and joy poured from her in abundance. There will never be another lady like her. She was unique, precious, and one of a kind. The life she lived is one we should all aspire to have. A life of love, joy, kindness, and faith. A life well lived.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Howard Kidd; brothers, Bob Brewer and Francis Brewer; sisters, Mittie Lee Phillips and Peggy Phillips.
She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Kidd Parsons, of Calabash, NC; brother, Curtis Brewer, of Robbins; sister, Betty Jean Seawell (Wilton) of Robbins, NC; Grandchildren, Misty Andrews (John) of Little River, SC, Chrissy Fohr (Dan) of Mooresville, NC; great grandchildren, Ashley Harden, Kristin Earp (Chaz), Arron Harden, Wade Andrews (Makayla), Abbey Andrews, Aubrey Fohr, Nolan Fohr; great-great grandchild, Presley Ruth Earp and a host of family and friends.
