Robert Lee “Bobby” Thomerson, Jr., 64, of Denton passed away on March 11, 2021 at his home. A graveside service will be held at Guilford Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 15, 2021 with Preacher Mark Shelley presiding. The body will lie in state at Joyce-Brady Chapel on Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Attendees are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Friends may visit at the family home in Denton or at the home of his daughter in Bennett.
Bobby was born in Guilford County on February 8, 1957 to Robert Lee Thomerson, Sr. and Ava Clarice McPherson. He was a member of Shannon Hill Bible Church in Greensboro. He and his father-in-law owned and operated B & B Woodworking, where he was a master craftsman and cabinet maker. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his Harley trike and driving his Corvette. He loved his family and treasured spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Bobby is survived by his wife, Joanne Thomerson, of the home; daughter Heather Cox (Punk), of Bennett; grandson, Luke Cox, of Bennett and a host of family and friends.
