Judy Ferree

Judith Kiser Ferree, 79, of Bennett passed away on February 21, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. The funeral service will be held at Pleasant Grove Christian Church at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 with Pastor Don Edwards and Chaplin Sam Garris presiding. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm-1:45 pm at the church. Joyce-Brady Chapel will be open on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm for those who wish to sign the register. Friends are welcome to visit the family at the home of Ralph and Tammy Overman.

Judy was born in Chatham County on September 24,1941 to Eulon Albert Kiser and Ernestine Frances Moore. She was a dedicated member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church, where she sang in the choir and served as the assistant pianist. She was a payroll clerk at Hadley-Peoples in Siler City for 32 years and never missed a day of work. Later, she kept children in her home. Kids loved to stay with “Nanny Judy”. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Larry Ferree.

Judy is survived by her daughters,Tammy F. Overman (Ralph), of Bennett and Allison F. Allen (Earle), of Bear Creek; sister, Kay Andrews, of Bear Creek; grandchildren, Peyton F. Moody (Jessica), of Bonlee, Corbin Allen, of Bear Creek, Landry Allen, of Bear Creek; step-granddaughter, Brittany Houchins (Freddie), of Ramseur; step-great-grandchildren, Caden and Greyson and a host of family and friends.
