William Atlas Ellis

William Atlas Ellis,  passed away Friday, November 10, 2023, after a brief illness. He was  born in Chatham County on Sept. 22, 1963 to George (Buck) & Nora Lee Brown Ellis. Atlas had a good heart to help and visit, especially seniors. He loved grapes and would go to his sister’s house every couple of days when grapes were ripe. He was a jokester with the young members of the family, having gag gifts in with Christmas presents.

Atlas was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his Mom, Nora Lee Ellis; sister and brother-in-law., Naomi Ellis Gee and Robert Gee ,all of Siler City; nephews, Wes Coleman and wife, Kristen, Travis Coleman, Rob Gee and wife, Heather, Kyle Gee and wife, Betty Ann and Scott Gee; great-niece, MaddyBelle Coleman; great-nephews, Noah, Eli, Jaxon and Asher Coleman, Dillon, Gage and Levi Gee; several special aunts, uncles and cousins.

The memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Siler City Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Pastor Rick Haug presiding. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 3:00 pm.
