Mrs. Vickie Mae Cockman Talbert, age 64 of the Plank Road in Robbins, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Euliss Claude Cockman, Sr., and Lillian Howard Cockman. She was a retired Receptionist in the Medical field; she had worked at FirstHealth Hospital and The Darmouth Clinic in Pinehurst. Vickie loved to crochet, go to thrift shops, travel and visit her favorite place, Fancy Gap, Virginia. She also enjoyed reading books, sitting on her deck and watching her flowers and garden grow.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Monday March 2, 2015 at Joyce-Brady Chapel in Bennett, with Dr. Neal Jackson & JJ Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Robbins.
Visitation will be held 6-8pm Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Joyce-Brady Chapel in Bennett.
She is survived by her husband Edward Talbert of the home; Twin Daughters-Linda Talbert Allred & husband Chad of Robbins, and Glinda Talbert Garner & husband Joseph of Robbins; Grandsons- Lance Allred, Justin Garner, and Robert Garner; Granddaughter-Brianna Garner; Brother-Euliss C. Cockman, Jr. and wife Doris of Carthage.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, Memorials be made to FirstHealth Hospice Foundation, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374. The family would also like to thank the 3rd floor Dr.’s & Nurses at FirstHealth Hospital in Pinehurst, and especially Donna Neal, Susan Mears, and Teresa Spencer with FirstHealth Hospice in Pinehurst.
