Mrs. Vermont Brady Maness, 95, of Bennett, died Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Universal Health Care in Ramseur.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Bennett Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Strider officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will recieve friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 1, 2016, prior to the service at the church.
Born December 1, 1920, in Chatham County, Mrs. Maness was the daughter of the late Clark and Hattie Deaton Brady. She was retired from Burlington Industries and a lifelong, devoted member of Bennett Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Maness was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Early Maness, daughter, Geraldine Maness Welch; brothers, Colon, Lawton and Bill Brady; and son-in-law Robert Welch.
Surviving are son, Bobby E. Maness and wife Elva Lou of Bennett ; daughters, Louise Spencer and husband Roland of Ramseur, and Betty Wainwright and husband Carroll of Asheboro; grandchildren, Teresa Bartee, Greg Maness, Chris Maness, Kevin Welch, and Brady Wainwright ; and 10 great-grandchildren.
