Verla Mae Wright Kennedy, age 83 of NC Highway 705 in Robbins, passed Sunday, March 22, 2015, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Funeral Services will be held 11am Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Acorn Ridge Baptist Church in Robbins with Dr. John Williamson & Rev. Edwin Moore officiating. She was preceded in death by her parents George & Eva Mabe Wright, and Brothers, Henry, Alvin, Bobby, and Billy Wright.

Mrs. Kennedy was a member of Acorn Ridge Baptist Church, and the Ladies Sunday School Class. She and her husband Arnold owned and operated Kennedy Game Farm, a Commercial Quail Hatchery for over 50 years. She had previously worked at Russell Hosiery Mill in Star for over 10 years. Mrs. Kennedy loved her flowers, but most of all her family and the LORD.

Visitation will be held 6-8pm Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Acorn Ridge Baptist Church in Robbins, and other times at the home on Highway 705 in Robbins.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Arnold Kennedy of the home; Daughter-Rhonda Key & husband Scott of Robbins; Grandchildren- Nathan & Natalie Key of Robbins; Brother-Edward Wright & wife Eloise of Randleman.
