Vellie Bray
June 19, 1925 — August 8, 2015
Vellie Belle Bray, age 90 passed away,Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Siler City Center in Siler City. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Williamson, and Bonnie Cooper Williamson. She was preceded in death by her husband Vaughn Bray, Brothers-Clyde Williamson, CM (Duck) Williamson, and Tom Williamson; Sister- Betty Henley;
She worked for 30 years at Klopman Mills as a spinner in Ramseur. Ms. Bray loved to do needlework, gardening, cooking, most of all she loved her church and her family.
A Graveside Service will be held 11am, Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Pleasant Grove Christian Church in Bennett, with Rev. Todd Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The Bray family will receive family and friends after the service in the church fellowship hall.
She is survived by Daughters- Marie Harper & husband JC of Bennett, and Carol Lackey & husband Tony of Siler City; Sisters- Martha Luther of Biscoe, Margie Stewart & husband Paul of Biscoe, Lucille Carter & husband Jimmy of Troy, and Judy Stevens & husband Gerald of Star; Grandchildren-4; Great-Grandchildren-7; and a host of family and friends.
