Sylvia Helms Farlow

Sylvia Jean Helms Farlow, 86, of Robbins, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Tara Plantation. The graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Browns Chapel Christian Church with Rev. Edwin Moore and Pastor Vic Hill presiding. 

 Sylvia was born in Anson County on May 20, 1938 to Odis and Fonnie Moore Helms. She was a seamstress in the textile industry. She loved the outdoors and rocking on her porch. 

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son; two brothers and two sisters.

Sylvia is survived by her daughters, Nellie Hinson, of Biscoe, Diane Hernandez, of Connecticut and Sandra Moore, of Robbins; son, Ricky Maness, of Star; sisters, Margaret Hildreth, of Rockingham and Linda Sheffield, of Robbins; grandchildren, Kelly Ritter, Tabitha Bates, Brian Maness, Heather Fowler, Cody Moore, Maria Moore and Juan Diego Rivera; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren a host of family and friends.
