Ruby Hussey

Mrs. Ruby Jane Reeder Hussey, 96, of Seagrove, N.C., died Thursday, October 08, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2015, at Riverside Baptist Church in Seagrove with Rev. Gerald Hussey and Rev. Kenneth Bouldin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Saturday evening at Joyce Brady Chapel in Bennett, N.C.

Ruby was born in Moore County, N.C. in 1919, daughter of the late Jason Reeder and Ula Scott Reeder. She worked in the textile industry for Southern Garment. Ruby loved to garden and cook and was well known for her love and talent in quilting. She enjoyed 70 years as a faithful member of Riverside Baptist Church, yet her greatest love was the time she shared with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband Carl, Six brothers and Two sisters and One Great grandchild, Kylie Cheek.

She is survived by Two daughters, Brenda H. Brady and husband Barry, Margie H. Wilson all of Seagrove, N.C.,  Two sons, Paul Hussey and wife Patricia and Rev. Gerald Hussey and wife Gaylene also of Seagrove and One sister, Lucy Lambert of Robbins, N.C. . Eight grandchildren, Keith Brady, Donna Beck(Tim), Kristy Cheek(Kevin), Gregory Wilson, Scott Hussey, Jeff Hussey(Allison), Christopher Hussey(Susan) and Tyler Hussey(Krissta), Fourteen Great-Grandchildren and One Great, Greatgrandchild.
