Ruby Butler

Heaven's gates opened wide Wednesday, January 24, 2018 for Mrs. Ruby Lee Myrick Butler of Bennett, N.C. . She was born October 31, 1935 in Moore County, N.C.

She is preceded in death by by her husband, Odell Butler, Jr., Her daughter, Darla Butler Landers, Her siblings, Mr. Lester Myrick and Mrs. Clara Jean Kennedy and parents Mr. and Mrs. Alton Myrick.

She is survived by her children, Mrs. Vickie Brown(Lowell), Rev. Dale Butler(Cheryl), Ms. Melody Butler and Son-In-Law, Mr. Mark Landers. Grandchildren, L.J. Brown(Jenny), Jason Brown(Anna), Suzanne Springer(Matthew), Regina Humble(Eric), April Nickel(Doug), Alex Landers and Ben Landers and 11(eleven) Great-Grandchildren.

Mrs. Butler was a lifelong member of Beulah Baptist Church of Bennett and a Sunday school teacher for many years. Mrs. Butler had been employed with Selig Mfg. Company for over 10 years. She was a substitute teacher for Moore County School Systems and loved challenging the students with Bible verses and questions and rewarding them with candy. In addition she had been a nursing assistant and made handbags for many years. She loved going to yard sales.

Funeral services will be Saturday(1/27/2018) at Beulah Baptist Church, beginning with a visitation from 1:00 - 2:45 p.m. prior to the funeral service at 3:00. Rev. Curtis Barbery and Rev. Dale Butler will be presiding. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery and the family welcomes you to join them in the fellowship hall afterwards. Prior to the services the family will be at Mrs. Butler's home.

Serving as pallbearers: L.J. Brown, Jason Brown, Matt Springer, Eric Humble, Alex Landers, Ben Landers and Doug Nickle.
