Mr. Roy Thomas McNeill 68, of 1516 Plank Rd., Robbins passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. He was a loving husband, father, and papa to his family, and will be deeply missed. Mr. McNeill retired from Perdue Farms after 47 years of service as a truck driver. He was also known as the Wagon Master of Carthage.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 2 pm at Flint Hill Baptist Church with Rev. William Hancock & Rev. Burton King officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Wilma Chalflinch McNeill; daughter-Jeanne McNeill Maness & husband Marty of Robbins; granddaughters-Stephanie Raye Maness & Brooke Renee Maness of Robbins; Sisters-Maxine Ritter of Robbins; Lorene M. Hussey & husband Alan of Ramseur, Nettie M. Reynolds of Highfalls, and Riley M. Turner of Sandy Ridge in Candor; brothers-Richard McNeill & wife Louise of Vass, and Paul McNeill & wife Eva Mae of Bennett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. McNeill was preceded in death by his parents-Thomas William McNeill & Beulah Wallace McNeill;sisters- Dora Kennedy, Margie Hussey, & Dorothy Garner; brothers-Garvin & Clarence McNeill.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2013 from 6-8pm at Joyce-Brady Chapel, 3833 Chatham St., Bennett, NC 27208 and at other times at the home of his daughter. You may offer online condolences at www.joycebradychapel.com
