Ramseur: Claudia “ Renee” Jones May 54, of 5135 Old Coleridge Rd., Ramseur passed away Saturday April 28, 2012 . Ms. May was a Chatham Co. native and was a hostess at Captain Tom’s. She was a proud Carolina Tarheel’s fan and loved her dogs especially “ Baby Girl”. She had a dog “M.J.” who passed away from cancer as well. She was preceded in death by her father Charles Eldon Jones.
Ms. May is survived by Son- Christopher Lee Wallace & wife Ashley of Ramseur. Daughter-Jennifer May of Sanford. Mother- Lena Craven Jones of Bennett. Brothers- Rick Jones & wife Gina of New Orleans,LA, Jeff Jones & wife Angela of Sanford, and Buddy Jones & wife Judith of Greensboro. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday May 2, 2012 at 3 pm at the Bennett Baptist Church where she was a member with Rev. Tim Strider & John Wayne Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday May 1, 2012 from 6-8 pm at Joyce-Brady Chapel, 3833 Chatham St., Bennett, NC 27208 and other times at the home of her mother.In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Bennett Baptist Church Building Fund ,P.O.
