Phyllis Welch

Mrs. Phyllis Ann Kidd Welch (69) died at home Tuesday December 12, 2017. The funeral service will be held Friday December 15, 2017 at Bennett Baptist Church at 2pm with Rev. Tim Strider presiding. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall. Mrs. Welch was born in Chatham County on April 19, 1948, daughter of the late James Henry Kidd and Hannah Elizabeth Kearns. She worked in textiles for a brief period. She enjoyed fishing, canning, and gardening in her spare time along with visiting Jordan Lake and riding in her golf cart. She is survived by her husband Wayne Welch of the home, her two sons; Thomas Welch and wife Andra of Bennett, David Welch and wife Kisha of Bennett, her sister Bunnie Johnson and husband Roland of Millers Creek, her 2 brothers; Ronald Kidd and wife Annette of Ramseur, Randy Kidd and wife Patty of Sanford, the apple of her eye, her grandson Tyler Welch of Bennett, and a host of family and friends.
