Peggy Talbert

Peggy Patterson Talbert, 80, of Robbins, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.

Peggy was born in Moore County on June 1, 1939 to Cary Wendell Patterson and Josephine Whitaker Patterson. She retired from Clayson Knitting Company after 32 years of service. Peggy was a member of Brown’s Chapel Christian Church where she enjoyed participating in the church activities. She loved cooking and gardening. She especially treasured time spent with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, JD Patterson and Cary Dale Patterson; sister, Sheila Mae Patterson Moore; husband, Robert Edgar Talbert; son, Raymon Edgar Talbert and daughter, Roxann Talbert.

She is survived by: daughter, Jeannie (Kay) Talbert Ryan (Stanley Ryan, Jr.);  grandchildren, Ronnie Edward Britt (Belinda), Michael David Britt (Tonya), Stanley Lee Ryan III (Kevin), Jennifer Lynn Wright (Will), Rebekah Elisha Talbert, Riley Elizabeth Talbert; great-grandchildren, Trenton Edward Britt, Josie Aaryn Britt, Maisie Britt, Ethan Britt, Parker Lynn Wright; sisters, Shirley Patterson Williamson, Virginia Patterson, Gail Patterson Johnson (Mark), Connie Patterson Harrison (Wes); brothers, Lacy Patterson and Ronnie Patterson (Mindy) and a host of family and friends.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Brown’s Chapel Christian Church in Robbins with Rev. Shaun Garner and Rev. James Brewer presiding. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Joyce-Brady Chapel, in Bennett, NC and other times at her home.
