Pastor David Snider

Pastor David Ray Snider, 68, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at UNC Hospital. The graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Community Independent Baptist Church, in Seagrove with Pastor Tom Cochran and Pastor John Forrest presiding. Friends are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. The family will host a visitation on Friday, October 30, 2020 from 6:00 pm-9:00 pm at Community Independent Baptist Church. The family requests masks to be worn and social distancing be followed.

Pastor Snider was born in Guilford County on December 4, 1951 to James and Beulah Bryson Snider. He was employed by Goodyear for 10 years. For the last 12 years, he was the Pastor of Community Independent Baptist Church. He enjoyed working with his hands, building things, fishing and helping others. He adored his family and treasured the time spent with them.

In addition to his parents, Pastor Snider was preceded in death by his sister, Susan and brother, Doug.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Shelley Jo Tysinger Snider, of the home; son, Robbie Ray Snider (Tracy), of Seagrove; sisters, Renee Williams (Tommy), of Archdale, Edye Miller (Tim), of High Point, Vanessa Blackburn, of Murphy and Jai-mee Brown (David), of Asheville; brother, Mark Duncan (Iris), of Thomasville; granddaughters, Samantha Hinson, Sabrina Snider and Stephanie Snider and a host of family and friends.
