Nancy Jacqueline McNeill Poole, 58, of Bennett passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020 at the UNC Hospice House in Pittsboro. Due to the current COVID-19 mandate, no formal visitation will be held. A graveside memorial service will be held at Bennett Baptist Church at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 29, 2020 with Rev. Jason Whitehurst, Rev. Edwin Moore, and Rev. Tim Strider presiding. Friends may sign the register at Joyce-Brady Chapel from 10:00 am-5:00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Friends are invited to visit the family at their residence following the service.
Nancy was born on March 12, 1962 Eva Mae Phillips and Peter Paul McNeill, Sr. She was a member of Bennett Baptist Church and enjoyed the Ladies’ Fellowship and helping in the kitchen at church functions. She was formerly employed as a CNA. Nancy loved her dog, “Gizmo”, her cats, and Pepsi. She loved her children and grandchildren. Alex had a special place in her heart.
Her father preceded her in death. Nancy is survived by her husband, Tommy Poole, of the home; son, Tony Ray Smith, Jr. (Kelly) of Randleman; step-daughters, Jami Marie Poole, of Asheboro and Rachel Elizabeth Tucker (Phillip), of High Point; grandchildren: Lauren, Alex, Carly, Ava, Raylene, Braxton, and Mallory; mother, Eva Mae McNeill, of Bennett; sisters, Janet Scott (Mark) of Bennett and Murlene Martin, of Siler City; brother, Peter Paul McNeill, Jr., of Bennett and a host of family and friends.
