Myrtle Lowman

Ms. Myrtle Ruth Page Lowman, 91, of Bear Creek, N.C., died Monday, April 3, 2017. The funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, April 5th, at Brush Creek Baptist Church in Bear Creek, N.C, with Dr. Patrick Fuller and Rev. Frank Taylor presiding. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, and the family will receive friends after the services in the fellowship hall.

Ruth was born on August 14, 1925 to Charlie Hasten Page and Callie Yow. A lifelong resident of Bear Creek, she worked at Boling Chair Co. for 30 years, and was a beloved member of Brush Creek Baptist Church. Her sense of humor was infectious, and her perspective on life was admirable…she never complained. When she wasn’t talking on the telephone, or keeping her grandkids fed, she enjoyed church trips and being outdoors.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Clark and husband Doug of Bear Creek; sons Jimmy R. Lowman of Bear Creek, Barney Lowman of Bear Creek, Steve Lowman and wife Pat of Siler City; grandchildren P.J. Lowman, Chris Lowman, Cody Clark, Macy Clark; great grandchildren Mason Lowman, Blake Lowman, Caleb Lowman, Sadie Lowman, and a host of family and friends.
