Mike Callicutt

George Michael “Mike” Callicutt, 70, of Bear Creek, passed away Monday, July 15, 2019 at Peak Resources Pinelake in Carthage. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Sandy Branch Baptist Church, where he was a member, with Rev. Lee Callicutt presiding. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00-1:45 and other times at the home of Tim Callicutt.

Mike was born on April 26, 1949 to James Walter Callicutt and Savannah Ruth Harris. He previously worked in sales. He was an avid sports fan. He loved NASCAR, the Redskins, the Yankees, and especially the Carolina Tarheels.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his step-mother, Hazel Callicutt, and step-father, Jack Stout.

He is survived by his brothers, Johnny Callicutt (Judy), of Bear Creek and Tim Callicutt (Nam Sun), of Bonlee; step-sister, Myra Hargis, of Bear Creek; niece, Jamie Cox (Travis); nephews, Christopher Callicutt (Salita) and Lee Callicutt; special friend, Betty Teague, and a host of family and friends.
