Mavine Yow

Mavine Garner Yow, 84, of Seagrove, passed away on December 20, 2020 at Tara Plantation of Carthage.  A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at New Center Christian Church, in Seagrove with Dr. Jonathan Burris and Rev. Jason Franks presiding. Joyce-Brady Chapel will be open from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday for those who wish to sign the register.

Mavine was born in Randolph County on April 13, 1936 to Julian Garner and Esther Chriscoe Garner. She was a lifelong member of New Center Christian Church. She was formerly employed by Pine Hosiery. Mavine loved her church and her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Dennis Yow; brothers, Howard, Farrell, Willard, Walter and Lloyd Garner and sister, Fannie Stutts.

She is survived by her brother, Amon Garner of Asheboro and caregivers, Mitchell and Elizabeth Williamson and family, nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
