Lula Boone

Mrs. Lula Kennedy Boone, 73, of Carthage, N.C. died Sunday, October 23, 2016 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Lula was born in Moore County, N.C. in 1943, daughter of the late William Lewis Kennedy and Edna Williams Kennedy. She worked as a knitter in textiles for many years. She enjoyed membership in the Order of the Eastern Star/Robbins, N.C. and loved cooking for her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers and her husband of 50 years, Billy Boone, Sr. in 2010. She is survived by her son Billy Boone, Jr. of Carthage, N.C., one brother, Curtis Kennedy of Robbins, N.C., her granddaughter, Nicole Boone of Robbins, N.C. and her beloved dachshund “Wally” and a host of family and friends.
