Lois Brady

Mrs. Lois Cox Brady, 89, of Bennett, N.C., died Tuesday November 4, 2014 at Westfield Rehabilitation and Health Center in Sanford, N.C. .

The funeral service will be held Friday, November 7, 2014 at 2p.m., at Fall Creek Baptist Church in Bennett, N.C., with Rev. Scott Allmon and Rev. Roger Thomas officiating. Burial will follow the service at Tysons Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Bear Creek, N.C. .

The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Fall Creek Baptist Church.

Lois was born in Chatham County, N.C., daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Cox and Bertha Jane Leonard Cox. During her life she was known for her love of gardening and her abilities in sewing and quilting and other beautiful crafts. Her great love was spending time with her family and friends that she cherished deeply, and her strong and steadfast faith in God.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Barney Brady, one son Dale Phillips, three sisters and one brother.

She is survived by two daughters, Jeanie Scott and husband Larry of Siler City, N.C. and Mary Lois Thomas and husband Rev. Roger Thomas of Sanford, N.C., One sister, Juanita Spivey of Bear Creek, N.C.,  Stepchildren, Jimmy Brady and wife Yvonne of Charlotte, N.C., Donnie Brady and wife Brenda of Jamestown, N.C., JoAnn Williams and husband Wayne of Clemmons, N.C. and Phil Brady and wife Pam  of Bennett, N.C.,  Six Grandchildren, Nine great-grandchildren, Nine step-grandchildren, Twelve step-great grandchildren and one step-great, great grandchild.

The family requests in Lieu of Flowers that memorials be made to Westfield Rehabilitation and Health Center % Patient Funds 3100 Tramway Road Sanford, N.C. 27330.
