Lester Myrick

Mr. Lester Allen Myrick, age 82, of Highway 22 in Bennett, died Tuesday, February 03, 2015, at FirstHealth Hospice in Pinehurst. He was a native of Moore County and the son of the late William Alton Myrick and Ola Blanche Albright Myrick. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church, where he served a former Deacon, and Sunday School Director. Mr. Myrick was a member of NC State Horseshoe Pitching Association, and was a member of NC Horseshoe Hall of Fame.

Funeral Service will be held 3:00pm Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Beulah Baptist Church in Bennett with Dr. Curtis Barbery  & Dr. Neal Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing for Mr. Myrick will be held from 1:00pm till 3:00 at the church. The family will receive family & friends after the service in the church fellowship hall, and other times at the home.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Alene Maness Myrick of the home; Daughter-Dianne Russell and husband Jerry of Robbins; Sons- Ricky Myrick of Bennett, and Harold Myrick & wife Brenda of Concord; Sisters-Clara Jean Kennedy of High Falls, and Ruby Butler of Bennett. Mr. Myrick had 6 Grandchildren, and 14 Great-Grandchildren.

The family ask in lieu of flowers, Memorials be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 8454 Howards Mill Road, Bennett, NC 27208.
