Leo Ness, Jr.

Leo Robert Ness, Jr., 67, of Robbins, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021 at his home. He was born in Baltimore County, MD on November 12,1954 to Ruby Francis James Barron and Leo Robert Ness, Sr. He was a member of New Birth Church of the Living God and was a retired textile worker. He loved Carolina Basketball, westerns, John Wayne, NASCAR, fishing and coaching rec basketball in Moore County. He cherished spending time with his family and friends,

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Leo Robert Ness, III and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bonnie Mae Hanson Ness, of the home; sons, John Allen Ness, of the home, William Jacob Ness, of Spies and Joshua Edward Ness, of the home; sisters, Connie Lee Long, of Robbins and Patricia Roberts (Daniel), of Robbins; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a host of family and friends.

The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Pine Rest Cemetery, in Robbins, with Rev. Bucky Davis presiding. Joyce-Brady Chapel will be open on Monday, January 3, 2022 from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm for friends to sign the register.

The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Patty Roberts, 136 Sunset Dr., Robbins, NC 27325.
