Larry W. Stevens, 83, of Siler City, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at the Laurels of Chatham in Pittsboro. Due to the current COVID-19 mandate, no formal visitation will be held. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Plainfield Friends Church, in Siler City. Friends who would like to sign the register may do so on Friday, June 5, 2020 from 10:00 am-5:00 pm at Joyce-Brady Chapel.
Larry was born in Chatham County on May 5, 1937 to Tom and Myrtle Thrift Stevens. He was a poultry farmer. He loved golf, woodworking, and playing music.
In addition to his parents, his wife, Carolyn B. Stevens, son, Clint Stevens, sisters, Judy Johnson and Muriel Blaylock and brother, Jack Stevens preceded Larry in death.
He is survived by his son, Dale Stevens (Charlotte), of Bennett, 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
