Larry Pugh, Jr.

Mr. Larry Poindexter “Tadpole” Pugh, Jr., 67 of Carthage, N.C. died Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at his home. The family will conduct a Memorial Service at a later date.

Larry was known to his friends and family as “Tadpole”. He was born in Randolph County in 1952, son of the late Robert Pugh and Maggie V. Richardson. He worked as a drywall installer for many years. He loved fishing, card games and was also a talented artist, having gifted and sold many of his works to friends and family. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all his heart and shared 32 years of marriage with his wife Patricia. Larry will be missed greatly by all that knew him as well as his beloved doggies. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers.

Along with his wife he is survived by three children, Chris Haga and Melissa of Liberty, Larry Junior Pugh and Tamara of Pennsylvania and Donnie Ray Haga and Debbie of Asheboro; three sisters, Patricia Blankenship, Dianne Hill and JoAnne Brooks all of Asheboro; two brothers, Joe Pugh and Chris Pugh and wife JoAnne also of Asheboro; 15 grandchildren, 12 great – grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
