Lana James Boyd

Lana Dale James Boyd, 71, of Bennett passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Seven Lakes Assisted Living and Memory Care. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Bennett Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Whitehurst and Billy Ray Hussey presiding. The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall and at other times at the home of Wyatt and Erica Dowdy. Joyce-Brady Chapel will be open from 1:00-5:00 on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 for friends to sign the register.

Lana was born in Chatham County on December 21, 1951. She was a member of Bennett Baptist Church and worked in retail for many years. She enjoyed shopping and caring for her cats. Lana loved God and her family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Johnsie Kidd Bouldin; father, Fred James and brother, Danny Bouldin. She is survived by her sister, Amy B. Dowdy (Eugene); nephew, Wyatt Dowdy (Erica); nieces, Meagan Bouldin (Michael Rossi), Hannah, Bailey and Grace Bouldin and a host of family and friends.
