Biography

Mr. Kenneth Wayne Simmons, age 56, formerly of Clipwood Road Bennett, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013, at Randolph Health and Rehabilitation in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 11, 2013, at 2 pm at Pleasant Grove Christian Church where he was a member with Jimmy Hill officiating.
Mr. Simmons was a native of Chatham County, and was the son of Reid J. & Flossie Mae Cox Simmons. He was a self-employed farmer, and loved to hunt.
Mr. Simmons is survived by Daughter, Jill Simmons of Bennett, and son Jeff Simmons of Bennett; Sisters, Rama Maness & husband Bobby, Linda Allred, Sharon Simmons all of Bennett, Betty Asbill & husband Boyce of Asheboro; and mother of his children, Sherry Simmons of Asheboro. Granddaughters Sierra Simmons and Illiana Luther of Bennett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 until the time of service, and at the other times at the home of his sister, Sharon Simmons in Bennett.
