Johnsie Bouldin

Johnsie Kidd Bouldin, 87, of Bennett, passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at her home. The funeral will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Bennett Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Strider presiding. Visitation will be one hour before the service in the Narthex and after the service in the Fellowship Hall.

Johnsie was born on February 19, 1931 to Rev. John Curtis Kidd and Lula Caviness Kidd. She was a beautician for over 50 years. She was a member of Bennett Baptist Church where she served as the youth choir direction, sang in the Adult Choir, and was a member of the W.M.U. Johnsie loved working with the youth, feeding the sick and shut in, and working in her flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was  preceded in death her husband, Daniel Bouldin, 4 brothers, and 4 sisters. She is survived by daughters, Lana Boyd and Amy Dowdy (Eugene) of Bennett; son, Danny Ray Bouldin (Morgan) of Newport News, Va,; grandchildren, Wyatt Dowdy, Meagan Bouldin, Hannah Bouldin, Grace Bouldin, and Bailey Bouldin.
