John Edward Nicodemus

John Edward Nicodemus, 90, of Bennett, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at FirstHealth Hospice House. No services are planned at this time.

 John was born in Miami County, Ohio on December 20, 1933 to Robert and Marie Alexander Nicodemus. He was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially liked working in his yard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Peggy Benfield Nicodemus. 

He is survived by his children, Julie Clendenin (Steve), of Bennett, Kathy Bodien (Tim), of Whispering Pines, Pat Nicodemus (Christy), of Seagrove, John Nicodemus, Jr. (Susie), of Asheboro and Cheryl Becker (Jay), of Laurinburg; sister, Shirley Gray (Bob), of Ohio; brother, Larry Nicodemus (Pat), of Florida; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
