Bear Creek: Mr. Uless Edward “Jimmy” Gordon 73, of 1755 Bill Lambert Rd., Bear Creek, NC passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at his home. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 2 pm at Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeremy Gordon officiating.
Mr. Gordon was born in Surry County and was the son of the late Ulyess G. & Lula Gordon. He retired from Klopman Mills where he was a fixer. He attended Red Hill Baptist Church as he was able. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his Son- Jimmy, Great-Grandson- Axel David Lee, Sister- Lala, Brother- Ray.
He is survived by Wife- Priscilla Mae Gordon of the home. Sons- Timothy Gordon & wife Geneva of Bear Creek, Joey Gordon of the home, & Mark Gordon of Bear Creek. Daughters- Lynne Nall of Calabash, & Rita Ellis & husband Tim of Bynum. Sisters- Lena Gordon & Nancy Morgan both of Bear Creek. Brothers- Rodger Gordon & wife Barbara of Bear Creek, Monroe Gordon of Bear Creek, Willie Gordon of Bear Creek, Roy Gordon & wife Nancy of Siler City. 15 Grandchildren 10 Great-Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday, April 4, 2014 from 6-8pm at Joyce-Brady Chapel, 3833 Chatham St., Bennett, NC 27208 and other times at his home.
