Jessica Myers

Mrs. Jessica Lee Myers, 36, of Asheboro, N.C. died Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, N.C. . The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday May 17, 2018 at Joyce – Brady Chapel in Bennett. Preacher Johnny Lewis will offer words of comfort to the family and friends near the conclusion of the visitation. No funeral service will be held.

Jessica was born in 1981 in Muskingum County, Ohio, daughter of Robert Ernest Thorla, Sr. and Brenda Lee Bates Gaines. After high school she earned CNA credits but worked as a waitress at various eatery’s.

Jessica loved her family and caring for others all that she could. Lakes, rivers or the beach was where she loved to go camping. Her nieces and nephews brought great joy into her life as she did to theirs. Her passion for life was contagious and people loved being with her as she could bring happiness to anyone’s day. Jessica was preceded in death by one brother, Travis Michael Thorla.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony Brent Myers of the home; father and step-mother, Bob and Penny Thorla of Racine, Ohio; mother and step-father Brenda Gaines and David Holt of Bear Creek, N.C.; step-daughter, Dalyla Brooke Myers of Fayetteville, West Virginia; Maternal grandparents, Fred Bates and Dixie Dean of Zanesville, Ohio; three sisters, Sarah Faye Bodiford and husband Joe of Siler City, N.C.; Ashley Nicole Monserratte and husband Victor of Elon, N.C. and Devin Michele Bean and husband Jason of Sanford, N.C.; one brother, Bobby Thorla, Jr. of Racine, Ohio; beloved nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
