Mrs. Janice May Brooks, age 62, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at the Laurels of Chatham in Pittsboro. She was the daughter of the late George Howard Fields and Elma Caddell Fields. She worked as a secretary in the furniture business. Mrs. Brooks enjoyed quilting, singing, music, dancing, and was a talented painter. She attended Brush Creek Baptist Church in Bear Creek. Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.
She is survived by her husband Eli Brooks of the home in Bear Creek; Daughter-Brandy Brooks of the home; Sister- Ann Fields Brooks & husband Larry of Siler City; Brother-Robert DeWayne Fields and wife Nancy of Carthage; Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
