Janet Threatt

Janet Stamey Threatt, 90, of Wallace, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Chatham Hospital. A celebration of life will be held  at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Park Street United Methodist Church in Belmont, NC.

Janet was born in Gaston County on May 10, 1932 to Ruby and George McCarn. She previously worked in the lab at Gaston Memorial Hospital and later retired as a real estate agent with Century 21. She enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, sewing and refinishing furniture. She especially loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Terry McCarn and Don Roberts and her husband, William A. Threatt, Sr. in 2009.

Janet is survived by her sons, William A. “Billy” Threatt, Jr. and wife, Deborah, of Bennett and Jonathan Threatt, of Wallace; brothers, Robert McCarn, of Murrels Inlet, SC and Larry McCarn, of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Howard Threatt and wife, Michelle, of Bennett, Sarah Hall and husband, Gage, of Bennett, and Kyle Threatt, of Wallace; great-grandchild, Mallory Threatt, of Bennett; special friend, Cheryl Threatt, of Wallace; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
