Bennett: Mr. James Robert “Sonny” Welch 70, 0f 38 Lee St., Bennett, NC passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at Chatham Hospital in Siler City. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 23, 2012 at 2 pm at Joyce-Brady Chapel, 3833 Chatham St., Bennett, NC with Rev. Tim Strider officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion UMC Cemetery.
Mr. Welch was a Chatham Co. native and had worked in the Poultry Industry. He loved old car’s and loved watching westerns. He also enjoyed watching American Pickers on tv.
Mr. Welch is survived by Daughters- Sherry Welch of the home, & Sandra Stanley & husband Stephen of Asheboro.6 Grandchildren 8 Step-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild.
