James was a lifelong farmer of the land raising crops of tobacco, wheat and corn. He also raised chickens, cattle, pigs and goats while managing to work a midnight shift in the poultry business. James had a love & passion for the Belgium Work Horses he had throughout his life. He took great pride in working the horses behind a plow in the field, as well as working them as they pulled a covered wagon. James enjoyed many wagon train adventures with his family.
