Jackie Hussey
March 17, 1949 — July 29, 2014
Mr. Jackie Wayland Hussey, 65,of Carthage, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Funeral arrangements will be Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the High Falls Wesleyan Church in High Falls with the Rev. Roger Riffe officiating. Mr. Hussey was a retired Parts Supplier with NC Department of Transportation. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren, and reading his Bible. Mr. Hussey also loved racing and drove car #12 in Street Stock at Caraway Speedway. He enjoyed woodworking and never met a stranger. He and his wife Brenda had just celebrated 42 years of marriage on July 16th.
Mr. Hussey is preceded in Death by his parents, Jack Burlin Hussey and Virginia Nall Hussey, Nephews David & Nathan Martindale, and Niece Anna Martindale.
He is survived by his wife-Brenda Comer Hussey of the home; Son-Jackie Wayne Hussey & wife Rachel of Carthage; Daughter-Amy Hussey Hobson & husband Jeff of East Bend; Sisters-Joyce Hogan & husband Jimmie of Biscoe; Jeanette Martindale & husband Bill of Carthage; Brenda Green & husband Luther of Carthage;
Grandchildren-Jack Dixon Hussey, Lucas Brian Hobson, and Sable Alexandra Scott.
Visitation will be held Saturday from Noon until 1:45pm at High Falls Wesleyan Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
