Hubert Moody

Mr. Hubert Moody, 96, of Star, N.C., died Monday, August 22, 2016 at Autumn Care of Biscoe.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Brown's Chapel Christian Church, Friday, August 26, 2016 at 6:00 p.m., offciated by friends of the family.
Mr. Moody was born in Galax, Virginia in 1920, son of the late Benjamin Moody and Cassie Johnson Moody. He served in the U.S. Army, in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He worked as a security guard and later became a truck driver. He loved gardening, canning vegetables and the outdoors in general. He attended Bible Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Brown Moody and a son, Billy Wright.
He is survived by three daughters, Becky D. Hogan and husband Johnny of Star, N.C., Nancy Anderson of Biscoe, N.C. and Jennie Shepherd and husband Ken of Candor, N.C. .
Two sons, Perry Wright of Statesville, N.C. and Walter Hannah of Star, N.C., Nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
