Hilda Hill

Hilda Moon Hill, of Wilmington, NC, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at Silver Stream Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wilmington.

She was born in Bennett, NC on July 2, 1934, daughter of the late William Jones and Vallie Phillips Jones.

Mrs. Hill was a life-long member of the Bennett Baptist Church in Bennett, NC, and a member of the church choir.  She loved to play bingo and at any given opportunity enjoyed traveling.

Surviving are her daughter, Kaye Houston and husband, Michael and son Konnor of Wilmington; her son, Dean Moon and wife, Marcy of Greensboro, NC; grandsons, Eric Moon, Yates Moon and wife, Heather; and two great-grandsons, Addison Moon and Tyler Moon.  Her husband Walter Hill and a son, Tony Hill preceded her in deathThe family will receive friends at the Bennett Baptist Church, 68 Bonlee Street, Bennett, NC, from 2:00 pm until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2015.  A funeral service will be held at the church beginning at 3:00 pm, immediately following the visitation hour.  Interment will be in the church cemetery and the family will receive friends in the church Fellowship Hall afterwards.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Bennett Baptist Church or a charity of individual choice.
