Frieda Staley Maness

Frieda Francena Staley Maness, 96, of Seagrove, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Randolph Hospice House. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 23, 2024 at Riverside Baptist Church with Pastor Kenneth Bouldin and Pastor Gerald Hussey presiding. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Joyce-Brady Chapel and at others times at the family home.

 Frieda was born in Randolph County on April 5, 1928 to Clayton and Thelma Davis Staley. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church and retired from Sapona Mills. She loved staying active and spending time with her family. Frieda loved life in general and enjoyed going out to eat with “The Giddy-Up Gang”. She treasured her “talking Bible”.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Warren Maness; son, Kenneth Maness; six sisters and two brothers.

Frieda is survived by her daughters, Brenda Ashley (Bill), of Seagrove and Louise Kimrey (Sammie), of Ramseur; son, Reece Maness (Esther), of Bennett; sisters, Jane Allred and Jean Cummings, both of Asheboro; brother, Ralph Staley, of Seagrove; daughters-in-law, Audrey Maness and Glennie Joyce; grandchildren, Amy Myers (Shane), Angie Hege (Daniel), Jason Maness (Stephanie), Christine Maness, Joshua Maness (Melanie), Kevin Kimrey (Tiffany), and Kayce Clark (Richie); ten great-grandchildren a host of family and friends.
