Evelyn Reynolds Kidd, 93, of Highfalls, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at The Laurels of Chatham in Pittsboro. Due to the current COVID-19 mandate, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Pleasant Hill U.M.C., where she was a member, with Kyle Lamb presiding. Friends may sign the register at Joyce-Brady Chapel on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 10:00 am-5:00 pm.
Evelyn was born in Moore County, N.C. December 14, 1926 to Blanch Evelyn Spencer Reynolds and Thomas Jackson Reynolds. She retired from Deering-Millikan after 30+ years of service. She enjoyed cooking, quilting and gardening. She cherished her family, especially her grandchildren.
Along with her parents, her husband, Joe Kidd, an infant daughter; sister, Catherine Howard, brothers, Elwood, Vernon, Elijah, and Wendell and sons-in-law, Scotty Norwood and Dean Wroe preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughters, Diana Wroe, of Cameron and Jeanne Lamb (Kyle) of Asheboro; grandchildren, Joe Lamb (Carla), of Randleman, Will Lamb (Elizabeth), of Durham, and Reba Lamb, of Climax; great-grandchildren, Carson, Gavin, Owen and a great granddaughter expected in November; sisters-in-law, Barbara Reynolds and Nettie Reynolds, both of Robbins; nephew, Thomas Reynolds, of Robbins; niece, Kathy Thomas, of Robbins, and a host of family and friends.
In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill, U.M.C., 1535 North Moore Rd., Robbins, NC 27325.
