Eli Welch

Mr. Eli Junior Welch, 83, of Robbins, N.C. died Friday, July 29, 2016 at his home.

The family will recieve friends Sunday (7/31/2016) evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at Acorn Ridge Baptist Church in Robbins. The funeral service wil be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday(August 1, 2016) at Acorn Ridge Baptist Church with Dr. John Williamson and Rev. Edwin Moore officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery.

Eli was born in Moore County, N.C. in 1933, son of the late Jesse Thomas Welch and Etta Kennedy Welch. He worked at Carthage Fabrics for many years prior to his retirement. Eli loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting and raising his garden, but his greatest joy was his family.

In addition to his parents, Eli was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters and his son Jackie. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Janie of the home, and their children, Janice Welch of Robbins, N.C., Daughter-In-Law, Julie Welch of Coleridge, N.C., James Ray Welch and wife Donna of Franklinville, N.C., Judy W. Martin and husband Phillip of Star, N.C., Linda W. Bean and husband James of Robbins, N.C., Tonya W. Britt and husband Michael of Seagrove, N.C., One brother, Worthy Welch of Seagrove, N.C., Twelve grandchildren and Nine great-grandchildren.
