Edward Talbert, 75, of Robbins, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at his home. He was born in Moore County on July 29, 1946 to Bertha and Charlie Talbert. He was a member of Pleasant Hill UMC and a U.S. Army Veteran. Edward worked as a carpenter and later in the maintenance dept. of Moore County Schools. He enjoyed hunting rabbit and deer, working his hunting dogs and going to antique sales.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Vickie (2015) and sisters, Mary Lou Hall and Debbie Sparks.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda Talbert, of the home and Glinda T. Garner (Joseph), of Robbins; step-father, Jack Hall, of Biscoe; sisters, Shirley Gallimore (David), Margaret Lucas (Andy), Wanda Sue Hall and Linda (Ronnie), all of Star; brothers, Johnny Talbert (Jeannie), of Seagrove, Wade Hall, of Star, Ricky Hall (Sonya), of Seagrove, Sammy Hall, of Star and David Talbert, of Star; grandchildren, Lance Allred, Brianna Garner, Robert Garner and Justin Garner and a host of family and friends.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Joyce-Brady Chapel with Rev. Bryan Maness and J.J. Moore presiding. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill UMC immediately following the service. The family will receive friends at Joyce-Brady Chapel before the service from 1:00 p.m.-1:45 p.m. Joyce-Brady Chapel will be open on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. for friends to sign the register.
