Mr. Donald Cranford Maness, 82, of Robbins, NC died Thursday evening at Autumn Care in Biscoe, NC. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday, July 2, 2017 at The Maness Family Cemetery at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Robbins, NC with Rev. Edwin Moore presiding. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
Donald was born in Moore County, NC 1934, son of the late Pearlie Maness and Toni Maness. During his life, he worked as a weaver at Klopman Mills. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, an avid collector, bird hunter and fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Maness of Robbins, NC. One son, Ricky Lynn Maness and wife, Brenda of Seagrove, NC. Three brothers, Larry Maness and Ronnie Maness of Robbins, NC, and Fred Maness of Graham, NC. Three sisters, Linda Sue Maness of Robbins, NC, Virginia Brady, and Betty Ann Davis and husband, Ernest, all of Asheboro, NC. Two grandsons, Travis and Jordan Maness of Wilmington, NC, and a host of family and friends.
