Donald Jeffries

Donald Ray “Don” Jeffries 71, of 144 Spies Ch. Rd., Robbins, NC passed away Friday September 9, 2011 at his home. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday September 12, 2011 at 2 pm at the Brown’s Chapel Christian Church with Rev. Michael Parenti, Rev. Burton King, and J.J. Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Mr. Jeffries was a Chatham Co. native and a man of many talents. He had a passion for serving others from 1967-1981 he served on the Goldston Volunteer Fire Dept. and served 5 yrs. On the Goldston Volunteer Rescue Squad. As a youth until 22yrs of age he worked at Chatham Brick, and from 1963-1979 he worked at Pamona Pipe. He also worked at the Country Cubbard and Riley Paving in Carthage for several yrs. until his retirement.
Mr. Jeffries is survived by: Wife- Helen Brock Jeffries of the home. Daughter- Mary J .Sheffield & husband David of Robbins. Son- Thomas Ray Jeffries & wife Cynthia of Broadway. Step-Sons- John Brock of Thomasville, Kenneth Brock & wife Virginia of Ramseur. Brother- Wayne Jeffries & wife Betty of Gulf. Sisters- Shirley Barber of Fayetteville, Ruth Gunter of Sanford. 10 Grandchildren 6 Great-Grandchildren
Visitation will be held Sunday September 11, 2011 at Joyce-Brady Chapel, 3833 Chatham St., Bennett, NC 27208 from 6-8 pm and other times at his residence. You may offer online condolences at www.joycebradychapel.com
