A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Mount Olivet U.M.C. Cemetery in Seagrove with Rev. Scott Walker presiding. No visitation will be held.
Deborah was born in Chatham County, N.C. in 1963, daughter of Jerry Lea Kidd and Marie Smith Kidd. She worked in various restaurants in the area as a cook. Her health began to decline yet it did not stop her love for the outdoors. Working in her herb garden and tending to her animals served as a great therapy for her. She raised goats and rabbits and operated a small business known as Cocoa’s Goat Milk Soap that supplied natural products to customers such as milk, soap, lard, lye and essential oils. Deborah loved people and life in general and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Brian Silverthorne; her mother, Marie Kidd and her brother, Darin Kidd and wife Cathy all of Seagrove and her father, Jerry Lea Kidd and wife Bernette of Bennett and a host of family and friends.
The family wishes to Thank All of the Staff of Randolph Hospice House for their care, compassion and excellent care during this difficult time.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Deborah's memory to the Randolph Hospice House 446 Vision Drive Asheboro, N.C. 27203.
