Danny Alvin Garner, 67, of Seagrove, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at his home. Due to the current COVID-19 mandate, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 6, 2020 Chriscoe Family Cemetery, in Seagrove, with Rev. Alex Shelton presiding. The viewing room at Joyce-Brady Chapel will be on Saturday, July 4, 2020 and Sunday, July 5, 2020 from 10:00 am-5:00 pm for friends to sign the register.
Dan was born in Randolph County, on January 20, 1953 to Dorothy Lee Maness Garner and Willie Howard Garner. He worked with Colon Green Sawmill and was owner/operator of Dan Garner Sawmill and Dan’s Salvage Company. He was a history buff and enjoyed being outdoors, reading and Bluegrass music. He especially loved his family.
Along with his parents, his brother, Boyce, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughter, Tracey Craven (Chad), of Seagrove; brothers, Ray Allen Garner (Joyce), of Seagrove and Willie C. Garner (Joan) of Asheboro; grandchildren, Shandi Turner (Eric), Mason Tucker, Holden Craven and Harper Craven, all of Seagrove; great-grandchildren, Kyla, Izzy, Spencer, Nova and Liam, and a host of family and friends.
