Bronna Phillips

Mrs. Bronna Kathryn Phillips, 89, of Bennett, N.C., died Friday, July 15, 2016 at her home.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 17, 2016, at High Falls Wesleyan Church with Rev. Roger Riffe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will recieve friends in the fellowship hall following the funeral service.
Bronna was born in Chatham County, N.C. in 1927, daughter of the late Addison Burke and Maggie Lemmons. She was known for her love of cooking, yet her greatest joy was the time spent with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, brothers and sisters and a grandson Braxton Phillips, she was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Ted Phillips, Sr. in February. She is survived by her children, Ted Phillips, Jr. and wife Sylvia, Darrell Phillips, and Brenda P. Moon and husband Tim all of Bennett, N.C. and daughter, Linda P. Horton and husband Dr. Bob Horton of Pinehurst, N.C., Ten grandchildren, Justin and Heather Moon, Natalie Forte, G.R. Horton, Blair Horton, Jordan Phillips, Brian, Kevin and Shannon Phillips and Brian Hurley. Eight Great-grandchildren, Wyatt George Forte, Carson Phillips, Jacob, Hannah and Sam Phillips, Maddie and Jack Phillips and Alexandra Hurley and a host of family and friends.
