Brenda Upchurch

High Falls: Brenda Sue Oldham Upchurch 68, of 120 Frieson Rd., High Falls passed away Thursday August 30, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday September 2, 2012 at 3 pm at the Putnam Friends Church where she was a member with Rev. Billy Joe Brady officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
Mrs. Upchurch was a Moore Co. native and was a self- employed bookkeeper. She loved her family and loved her church , especially singing there. She was well known as a candle maker, and people loved her candles.She loved to cook, work in her flowers, and loved caring for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents Vernon C. & Angie M. Oldham.
Mrs. Upchurch is survived by husband-Jackie F. Upchurch of whom she was a loving wife for 50 yrs. Daughters- Michelle “Shelly” Lindley & husband Russell of Silk Hope, & Amy U. Comer of HighFalls.
Sons- Shane Upchurch of HighFalls, & Chad Upchurch & wife Tina of Robbins. Grandchildren- Blair & Dalton Lindley, Jeremiah Comer, Zoey & Kori Upchurch. Sisters- Gail Oldham of Putnam, & Pam. O. Brady & husband Gary of Putnam. Niece- Hollie Brady. Nephews- Houston Brady & Charles Childress.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 1, 2012 from 6-8 pm at Putnam Friends Church,136 Putnam Church Rd., Carthage, NC 28327 and other times at her home. You may offer online condolences at www.joycebradychapel.com
