Bobby Brown, Jr.

Mr. Bobby Lee “Jay” Brown, Jr., 39, of Eagle Springs, died Monday, December 26, 2016 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst surrounded by his loving family. No public visitation will be held and the services will be private.

Jay was born in Pinehurst, N.C. on November 15, 1977, son of the late Bobby Lee Brown, Sr. and Doris Latham Brown.

Jay was known for his talent of making people laugh. He wanted all around him to be happy and smiling, and made great efforts to make it happen. As his health permitted, he enjoyed golf and bowling and playing video games. Jay was a loving son, brother and friend and a wonderful husband and father to his wife and children whom he adored. In addition to his father, Jay was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and his mother and father-in-law, Lynn and Tim Maness.

He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Stefanie Brown of the home, two sons, Samuel Maness and William Brown also of the home, his mother, Doris Latham Brown of Eagle Springs, his sister, Ashley B. Sloan and husband Matt also of Eagle Springs and brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Meagan Maness of Pinehurst and Kevin and Crystal Richardson of Seagrove; and a host of family and friends.

The family has asked in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to Stefanie Brown  195 Russell Road  Eagle Springs, N.C.  27242   for the care and education of Samuel and William.
